How to get there
Muxía – and its “Virgen de la Barca” Sanctuary – is easily accessible, located just over an hour’s drive from the airports of Rosalía de Castro (Santiago de Compostela) and Alvedro (A Coruña). Peinador Airport (Vigo) is a two-hour drive from Muxía.
How to get there
The town is connected by high-capacity roads, combined with regional, provincial and local roads.
From Alvedro Airport, half of the journey is along the A-6 and A-55 motorways (following the signs to Carballo) as far as the Baio junction, where you take the AC-552, continuing along the AC-440 and the DP-5210 to Muxía.
If you are coming from Santiago de Compostela airport, you should take the A-52, AP-9 and A-56. Next, take the AC-544 and AC-546 regional roads to reach Muxía.
In the case of Peinador Airport, you will take the AP-9 to Santiago de Compostela and then follow the previous route from the A-56.
